Timișoara's eight museums tell the story of the city, from ancient to modern times. They showcase art, religious heritage, the fight against communism, and the ingenuity of its residents.

Art Museum
The Art Museum of Timișoara is located in the Baroque Palace in Union Square. It houses a unique collection of works and personal items by the painter Corneliu Baba, featuring 90 pieces. The museum also includes three additional sections: Contemporary Art, Decorative Art, and European Art.
National Theatre and Opera of Timișoara
The Palace of Culture, also known as the Opera or National Theatre, is home to several cultural institutions:
- Romanian National Opera
- Mihai Eminescu National Theatre
- Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre
- German State Theatre

Communist Consumer Museum
The Communist Consumer Museum is designed as a typical Romanian apartment from that era, complete with a living room, children’s room, kitchen, and hallways. It displays items from the pre-1989 era, from toys to vinyl records, TVs, radios, bicycles, and much more.
After traveling back in time through the museum, visitors can relax at the upstairs bar, Scart Loc Lejer.
Helios Gallery
The Helios Gallery offers a diverse selection of contemporary art created by professional artists, members of the Union of Fine Artists Timișoara. The gallery also provides materials for painting and drawing.
